Constantine did a promotional CD appearance at Woodland Mall, Grand Rapids, Michigan. Rather than having me tell the story, read this newspaper article that gives lots of info and a title that describes the way lots of his fans feel when they are around him!

GRAND RAPIDS — With long, wavy brown hair and a ready smile, “American Idol” Top 10 season four finalist Constantine Maroulis looked the part Saturday afternoon at Woodland Mall.
And he warmed up to the hundreds of fans who came to see him perform a few songs at the back-to-school fashion show.
“I want to meet each and every one of you,” he told his audience in the mall’s food court.
Maroulis, also an actor on the daytime TV drama “The Bold and The Beautiful,” performed four songs from his self-titled debut album, including his first single, “Everybody Loves.”
Before his performance, Maroulis sat down with winners of a contest to meet him.
“I love his charisma and his persona. He exudes a lot of energy,” said Jenny Andersen, 38, of Ada.
She is a member of fan forum Greek Speak. She has never followed any artists career like his. Why?
“I have no idea,” she said. “He took me right off my couch. When he was voted off ‘American Idol,’ I was like, ‘I have to follow this guy.’ So the fact that he came to Grand Rapids — five miles from my house — I’m a happy fan.”
Maroulis took pictures with the winners and even talked about his personal life, including his love for college sports teams at Duke and Notre Dame.
“I know, I’m saying all the wrong teams,” he said, with a smile, to his Michigan fans.
When asked by Andersen what his career highlight has been thus far, Maroulis said he hasn’t reached it yet.
“I think I try to stay hungry. … Once you start patting yourself on the back, it’s a wrap.”
During his performance, Maroulis continued to play to his fans.
“I was in the fashion show,” said Colleen Kohane, 15, a Grand Rapids resident and West Catholic High School student. “I just kind of stopped him. I asked him to make a shout out to my sister, Kristin, because she’s a big ‘American Idol’ fan.”
And he did.
Also at the show, Lowell High School student Brennan Prill, 16, won the mall’s “So You Think You Can WHAT?!” Talent Show, sponsored by WSNX-FM (104.5).
Prill won a $250 mall gift card and the chance to open the fashion show before Maroulis’ set..
Even though Prill was a little nervous, it all worked out for the aspiring singer, who plans to audition for “American Idol” next season. The two exchanged phone numbers.
“He said, ‘Dude, you have such a rockin’ voice — hey, what’s your number?’” Prill said.
